GOOD DIVE SPOTS IN THE BERRY ISLANDS

Mama Rhoda Reef

(10'-20') The equivalent of a Japanese garden underwater. Fantastic elkhorn and staghorn coral, huge tiger groupers, spotted eagle rays, angelfish, trumpetfish and lobster all await you.

Canyon and Caves

(15'-50') Caves and tunnels are common throughout the reef as are silversides, angelfish, eels, barracuda, arrow crabs and banded coral shrimp.

Hole in the Roof

(25'-40') Lobster, moray eels and French angelfish wait to greet you around this profusion of coral heads. One of the locations for the movie Splash.

Mini Walls

(60') Huge orange elephant sponges and Nassau groupers (seen in schools of up to 300) dominate this site.

Fish Bowl

(60') An abundance of plate coral and schooling fish on a reef that runs 100' long.

Truck Lagoon and Plane Wreck

(20'-60') Pick your depth on these coral ridges with an airplane cabin and truck chassis that are home to gray angelfish. Nassau groupers and spadefish are abundant.

Angeltown

(25'-35') French and gray angelfish, Nassau groupers and coneys will compete for your attention. Yellowtails will probably follow you back to the dive boat. On the sand flats it is common to see a garden of eels or southern stingray.

Overlook Wall

(60'-150') Large black coral trees and colorful tube sponges are the backdrop for eagle rays with wingspans exceeding five feet.

Dynamite Wall

(80'-6000') Profusions of color line the drop-off. Looking out into the deeper blue you can watch passing schools of tuna and mackerel.
